Welcome to Connecting Point Counseling Services! I'm Dr. Donald C. Gibson, Jr., a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado with approximately 30 years of experience helping individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families navigate life's challenges.
I hold a master's degree in Counseling from Troy State University and a doctoral degree in Christian Counseling from Newburgh Theological Seminary and College of the Bible. Throughout my career, I've worked with people facing depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, relationship difficulties, and family conflict. My experience also includes working with military personnel, at-risk youth, and families experiencing challenging life circumstances.
My approach to counseling is built on compassion, understanding, and practical solutions. I want you to feel heard, respected, and supported as we work together toward meaningful change. Whether you're struggling personally, working to strengthen your marriage, or seeking help for your child or family, my goal is to help you recognize your strengths and develop healthier ways of moving forward.
My Christian faith is an important part of who I am. As pastor of Lighthouse Outreach Church in Colorado Springs, I understand the value of hope, resilience, and spiritual growth. For those who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling that respectfully incorporates faith into the healing process.
